Big Day in Branford

81 doors today in Branford Manor. Had a great conversation with some of the folks sticking their necks out to fight for acceptable living conditions. It's a great neighborhood, but there was discussion about what can be improved; better access to day-care, computer lab/library access, more resources for home ownership and credit management courses.

One idea that keeps bubbling up is funding youth sports. Youth sports is a low cost highly effective solution to getting kids engaged in an activity that builds character, teaches discipline and provides a good source of self-esteem and self-worth.

Looking forward to possibly attending the tenants union meeting in a few weeks.
