Central to this campaign is the idea that the parties have abandoned their duty to secure victories for the people. Real progress can be made where the parties and the people agree. Below are several ideas that are pro-democracy and pro-people which do not violate any of the core tenets of the party platforms. Clicking on each provides more detail. How Connecticut Can End Political Gerrymandering

Connecticut because of our constitution is uniquely positioned to eliminate political gerrymandering and be an example for the country.

Incentivizing Full Time Employment

Too many of our neighbors are working part time jobs not out of choice and our tax dollars are going into the pockets of large organizations because of it. We need to allow employers to provide Huskycare at cost to their employees and incentivize full time employment by requiring employers who have enough work for full time equivalents to pay back into the health care system.

New Pathways to Higher Education

A Connecticut based service force, modeled on Americorps, could improve access and quality of higher education.

Incentivizing Health Care Reform

The 41st has increasing resources in biomedical research and production. Connecticut should be investing in these businesses while incentivizing curative and preventative treatments.

Grid-Scale Energy Storage

Connecticut needs Grid-Scale energy storage. Current initiatives to develop energy storage solutions are not aggressive enough to solve the near term need.

Preventing a Future Water Catastrophe

Water is, and will increasingly be, a scarce resource which requires stewardship into the future. To ensure water security for the next generation Connecticut needs to develop utility scale desalination.
